Railroad Commissioner Sitton Talks Energy Policy, Vision with American Association of Drilling Engineers
April 04, 2017AUSTIN — Texas Railroad Commissioner Ryan Sitton discussed the importance of developing a vision for the future of energy policy yesterday at a Distinguished Lecture Series hosted by the American Association of Drilling Engineers University of Texas Austin Chapter.
“We must think about energy policy in the long term, set a vision and take action now to achieve the goals that we all want – affordable, reliable, clean energy,” Sitton said.
“We currently have a federal administration that understands the importance of energy to our nation’s economy and national security, and the opportunities for the future of energy are limitless as we roll back duplicative regulations and take an all-of-the-above energy strategy.”
Ryan Sitton was elected to the Railroad Commission in 2014 and is the first engineer to serve on the Commission in 50 years. Sitton is one of the world’s leading energy experts and founded PinnacleART, an engineering and technology company focused on reliability and integrity programs for the oil, gas, and petrochemical, mining, pharmaceutical, and wastewater industries.
